Winery and Vineyard
Spearheaded by Caroline in the winery and Phil in the vineyard, all of the wonderful drinking you’ve come to associate with Zonzo is the result of their respective teams. Their winemaking approach is traditional and hands on: exploring, experimenting and refining, delighting drinkers (and collecting the odd award along the way).
This crew loves being in the thick of Yarra Valley, with its undulating slopes facing several directions—perfect for premium winemaking—and is excited to be working on vineyard expansion for more climate-conscious wines.
The Restaurants
Our head chef Dave and restaurant capo Adolfo (who’s been around since the very beginning) are the lynchpins of our Yarra Glen and Healesville restaurants.
Zonzo’s venues represent some of the best dining and hospitality you can find in the region, a class act that keeps everyone on their toes from the top down.
Zonzo HQ
Since 2005, Rod Micallef and his team have worked to establish Zonzo Estate not only as a YV destination, but also a revered winery. It’s been a prolific twenty years and, not content to rest on the many laurels accumulated since, they keep pushing to be better.
The story of someone who works at HQ often goes like this: hospo person who likely started on the restaurant floor, loved what they did, then made their way up the ranks to continue making the best customer experiences possible, seeing new projects come to life... and occasionally jumping back in the kitchen or winery when needed.
Through it all, this team is a lot like family. The fact they get to work in beautiful surrounds is second only to being surrounded by awesome people.
